News + what beer would MankerBeer be?

Simple as that – if MankerBeer.com would be a beer. What type of beer would it be and what would be in it? What hops and malts would be in it? What would the ABV and IBU be? How would the label be? Tell us and we might reward you :)

More news then?

Well, it has been announced that De Molen will join forces with Närke at Örebro Öl & Whisky Festival. As Brill & Co has started to work with De Molen in their portfolio this is a great opportunity to try a couple of their beers that we hopefully will be able to see again. And to see Närke back on track at the festival is just as great.

Tomorrow the tickets to next year’s Copenhagen Beer Celebration will be released, 1000 tickets per day will be released for this 2-day festival and seen to what breweries will attend it is likely that the tickets will vanish like a pie in front om me. Tickets goes on sale here.

Dont miss the Sour & Bitter event the night before (10th)  hosted by Drikkeriget. 3 Fonteinen and a yet unknown brewery will be responsible for the beers, tickets are not yet on sale, but you can reserve your seats.

Time to taste som Christmas beers that will be released this Monday all around Sweden (see which beers here) and then home to prepare more of the material from the US  to be published.

  1. I think the MankerBeer should be an extremely hoppy and bitter DIPA or even TIPA. Something that would put a huge smile on M2s face, make his eyes mist up and his ass hairs curl up all at the same time. Also he wouldn’t mind when Manker starts to hug him wearing that pink t-shirt. 😉

Malts: Pale Ale Malt (base) and some other light malts to give colour.

Hops: Go with 2-3 different types of hops. Use both grassy, piney hops together with some fruity hops. For instance Columbus/Tomhawak and Citra.

    ABV: 9%

Label: Hmm how about the two of you in Mankerbeer t-shirts and the name of the beer in some 80s font.

IBU: 182 (M is the 18th letter in the alphabet, so M+2=182)

I think Stefan pretty much nailed it. Some kind of IPA, anything else is out of the question. 😛

Stefan – You frikkin’ NAILED it! I instantly wanna try the beer your describe!

I do agree with both you and Christian.
